This was an attempt to get create a glimpse of Inner Space. The falling man was originally created with Fractal Design Poser, was ported via DXF format to Strata Pro, where it was laboriously modified in the 3D modeller. This scene was rendered using Strata's "Raydiosity[tm]" algorithm, which is evidently a modified ray-tracing technique that gains some of the lighting benefits of the better-known radiosity algorithm. It's damn slow, but gives nice results. Whether this image is still valid for the Ray Tracing contest is a matter of possible discussion; I'll leave it to the judges to judge. ___Samuel___ Source is 850kB, and requires Strata Studio Pro to read (rumor has it that Strata 3D will also work fine). I'd be happy to send the source to anyone who's interested. Email me for arrangements.
